Did anyone see the Stan Hitchcock showed that aired on RFD-TV Saturday night, 09/09/06? Narvel Felts was the guest star.

Who was the steel player on that show? He played some cool stuff on some of those songs.

Super picker!!!

Thanks!

Yes it was great to see Stan in St. Louis. I had the pleasue of working with Stan many years ago. A great guy and what a voice. One the best voices to every be in country music. I just wish the powers that be in Nashville at the time would have done more to promote his career. He is a super star in my book. Bobby

I had not seen Stan for many years. Then a couple of months ago I talked with him again. He is a Missouri boy and was inducted into the Missouri Country Music Hall Of Fame this year.
Stan still sings good and he has never lost touch with his roots. He is just "down to earth" good people.

Stan of course started CMT in Nashville actually I believe it was in Hendersonville. And it was Country music at one time. One year Stan played the big "E" in W.Springfield Mass for 7days and brought his whole band across the street to Billy T's where I held fort at the time 6 nites a week. Great guy real down to earth. What you see on the tube is what you get with Stan.
