Does anybody happen to know who is playing the steel guitar in the Joan Baez song called "Prison Trilogy"? That's the best back-up music of any I've ever heard (steel, harmonica, guitar, bass, rhythm, etc.), if you have an opportunity, listen with headphones. All the instruments are superb. I'd like to know who put all that together.

Steve,

Thanks for responding. I've got the album, "The Best of Joan Baez", my favorite female singer. She sure had pro-musicians for back-up. I don't know who Weldon Myrick is but he's sure good, and his steel really adds something wonderful to that song. I am truly amazed at how 'versatile' the steel guitar is. I'm just impressed. Thanks again!

Steve,

If you like that song you'd really like the rest of the album too.

Haven't heard this song, but Weldon Myrick is one of the Nashville A team legends of long standing. A lot of cats like him played country for a living, but could do a lot of other stuff if the need arose.
