I just got home from a show in Sandstone,MN, at MWC, with Justin Trevino and Leona Williams as well as Ferlin Husky. Let me tell you, Justin can sing! His portion of the show was fantastic. Leona wasn't to bad either. And Johnny Cox is a monster steel player, I had never seen him live, man what a treat.
When this show airs on RFD-TV, whenever that may be, don't miss it. |

I was there yesterday (Saturday), and was surprised to see that it was Johnny playing with everyone. He has lost so much weight that I didn't recognize him at first. We had a chance to talk a bit after the show, and he is working hard at MSA building guitars, and was extremely tired after the first show. He said that he was heading home right after the show and putting steels together for the St. Louis show.
Johnny is truly one of the great players we have, and if you are going to be in St. Louis this weekend, be sure to tell him I said hi. He is a great person, and his lovely wife Joan is another great player.
Best to you Johnny, and Joan
Dennis
