This is another shot of this guitar. (Imagine being in THAT room.) I found this pic on Al Brisco's site. Hope it's okay to share it.

They were probably fighting over the bass.

No, the first Sho~Bud was a stand-up model built for Don Warden, steel player for Porter Wagoner.

Yes, Paycheck on bass. Is that Shorty Lavender on fiddle and maybe Steve Bess on drums? If so, this line up would basically be ca.-61 Cherokee Cowboys.

Donny H, The question was, was that his[Jimmys] first guitar, Jimmys first guitar was natural finish, but I'm asuming that Shot or Buddy refinished the front & necks, of the guitar pictured above, I recieved the 3rd Sho-Bud, which I still have, Al Udeen

Mike, it's a Falstaff (beer) and by the looks of things, I'd say they were at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge ....

I wish I could have been there. It looks like a great time was had by all. I sure miss my pal Jimmy. In st. Louis every year I feel a big void because Jimmy can't be with us. But I feel that way about all the greats who are no longer with us. I bet they have a great jam session going on. Bobby

Barry's right..........they are at Tootsies. According to Al's site, the door in the pic reputedly led to the Grand Ole Opry.

Can't tell you squat about the steel but that much any barroom buddy can see.
