Nice job! Also it really puts a name to a face; not to mention a steel and music room to a face also.

Absolutely Super! Tony, that's great playing and a nice follow up to your offering of the Rocky Top practice track with tab. It gives us the opportunity to assess our progress, learn how the tab is played visually, how it should sound, plus a lot more good licks to boot.

I've only been here for about a year and a half, but I think this may be a first, offering this free instructional sequence, topping it off with a great performance, and showing us even more some nice moves!

Jim, thanks for posting Tony's outstanding contribution!

Tony, thanks for the video performance.
I'll say it again, Absolutely Super!

Also, nice application of Weldon's "One pedal, two-finger, three string song" stuff. All of us that know about it use it! That Carter sounds very "Sho~Bud"-like to me.

Tony, I really enjoyed that video of Rocky Top. I understand you offer some tab for it with a rhythm track. Is the tab the full whole song or just the one note runs?

Great job Tony! I've got to get that practice tab back out and work on it some more. I like those assending and desending phrases on the 5,6, and 7th strings. I can get from 3rd fret to 10th fret purty good, but getting on up to the 15th, well, I'm goin to have to work on it some more.

Tony,

That was some excellent picking. I like the way you just simply started with the melody, and then soon enough, kicked it into overdrive.

That Carter has beautiful tone; but no clue as to the amp you used.

I enjoyed it very much. Thanks.

Chipper

Tony
i have a question for you. in your video it looks like you are hooking you little finger over your 1 string as an anchor for you right hand, is that what your doing ?
i tryed it that way but it would'nt work for me i ended up using my thumb on the 8 string for an anchor point
by the way nice picking

thanks guys..

Chip, no amp..I went direct thru the board into the little Sp5 MAudio Powered Near Fields..

Look out Nashville 112's !

Actually it sounds a tad dull to me...

Calvin, I am not sure I am anchoring the little finger , never thought about it...I think it's more of a position so that I can palm block..but I can comment on the thumb thing..DO NOT anchor your THUMB...
