XM is playing a lot of Tony Booth and he is a very good singer, stylist and does everything he tackles in an excellent way. Who is his steeler for the recordings? He is a great one....Superb tone and delivery...

I know Jay Dee Maness did a lot of Tony's records, including most of the work on a great album I've got called "When A Man Loves A Woman". Phenomenal steel work indeed.

Tony Booth is live and well and sings as good as ever. He is playing bass along with his brother Larry every Friday and Saturday night at the Alvin Opry in Alvin, Texas.
He lives about 10 miles down the road from me; if I see him I'll let him know that he is still be being talked about. I am sure that he would like hearing this. |

It would be great to have him open the ISGC some year. His sound would be right at home there.
