Was listening to this CD last night and wondering if Jimmy Day used his Mullen guitar on this recording? According to the liner notes the recording was done Jan/Feb 1995; there are pictures in the liner notes that show Jimmy at the ISGC in Sept. 1995 with the Mullen.
When did he start using the Mullen?

Mark,
I know that Jimmys widow has the Mullen guitar and there is a Webb amp there too. I've offered to buy the guitar or the amp but she won't sell them. |

| I know I'm reviving an old thread, but, Bruce, what made you so sure it was "the Sho-Bud"? I learned a couple of weeks ago from Mike at Mullen that Jimmy got his first blue Mullen in 1993, then got another in April 1995. It certainly seems like he might likely have been playing that first one on this album. |

I was playing with Johnny Bush when he, Jimmy, David Zettner, and Willie cut the "Offenders' Reunion" album. Jimmy was playing his Mullen. Trust me on this one, guys.
"The Offenders" was the unofficial/humorous name of Willie's band "The Record Men." Bush told me the story behind the name, but it's too long to go into here, and not that important, anyhow.

| Herb, Thanks for the first-hand information! There is some information about the origin of the band name in the booklet of the CD of the album (notes by Johnny Bush)--it's pretty entertaining. |

Hey, Lee. Actually, I think I was still in New York at the time. Not sure why the location info says Los Angeles, unless the web software picks up the location info from the current profile when it creates the page...
I think that's the longest it's ever taken me to get an answer on the Forum...
(BTW - Just tested my theory and found a post I made in 2001, when I know I was in NY, and it says "Los Angeles.")
