It is with sadness that I inform you of the passing of Eddy Fulawka's wife, Irene, last evening in a Toronto hospital. Irene had just been diagnosed with leukemia in the past few days. As per Irene and Eddy's wishes, there won't be visitation or a funeral service.
Remarkably they were married for 54 years!
Eddy and Irene have been regular participants for many years at Scotty's Steel Guitar Convention in St. Louis. So many of us have been privileged to spend time with Ed and Irene in their home where their gracious hospitality was always extended.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Eddy and the family at this time.

I am really sorry to hear of this trama. To lose someone who has been by your side and supported your efforts all these years is hard to bare. I would be lost without my wife there with me. She's my biggest fan as I'm sure Irene was Eddy's biggest fan as well. You have my prayers and my sincere condolence. |

Very sorry to hear this sad news. Although I did not know Irene personally, I did speak with her briefly in Eddy's St Louis room in 04. She was a very friendly lady to speak with , very pleasant and made everyone comfortable around her.
Condolences to Ed and his family.

I would also like to extend my deepest sympathy to Ed and his family. Irene was always at the steel guitar events with Ed and was a gracious hostess in the hospitality suite in St. Louis. |
