Aloha all,

Please visit the Hawaiian Steel Guitar Association's website and view our new logo!
It's across the top of each page

I think it's pretty cool. Graphic artist Amy Pace did a great job incorporating the Bakelite Rick, lei, font etc.

The official logo is the far left side of the banner, the letters 'HSGA', the words 'Hawaiian Steel Guitar Association' and the Bakelite Rick with lei.

Tee shirts anyone? Coffee mugs? Hats (Howard?), Barbeque tongs?

Oh, thank goodness. At first I thought it said "Barbeque Thongs"

Jack...

We're trying to promote membership in the HSGA.

I don't believe that these guys modeling the latest high-fashion, flesh-revealing thongs would help the cause much.

Well... maybe L.T., he's in pretty good shape.

I can guarantee you that if I wore a thong, I wouldn't be able to see it.

Those HSGA thongs...

Are they forward or reverse slants?

When I first saw Rick's thong picture I thought it was one of these:

Ouch! that would hurt. Not too nahe nahe.

I don't mean to brag, but I might need more room in the "package" department.

Do the come in sizes? 3X?

Any Velcro attachments available: beer can holders, microphone pocket, steel/pick bag, suspenders, etc ?

Sorry about all the nonsense Gerald.

The new logo looks great and thanks for all the work you are doing for the HSGA.

Jack,

I like the nonsense. What? are we going to get serious about music?

Remember, we 'PLAY' music. Music is the only artform you play. You don't play poetry, or play dance, or play paint or sculpt. The culinary arts are a different story all together because there you play dough.

Someone could set up a cafepress.com site and sell coffee cups, thongs, or whatever, with that new logo, and make money for the HSGA. The profits could be used to keep the bar open an extra hour at the next Joliet convention.

Good idea Craig. But when we provide our own bar (brown paper bag) we get away cheaper with no tips. Free Holiday Inn ice is available 24/7.

When the desk clerk asks if I have a preference in rooms, I always ask for the one next to the ice machine.
