Went to Nashville Cowboy Church again today. Although I have been there numerous times, I still highly enjoy going there, and it is my favorite place to go when in Nashville. Mr. Duane Marrs was again superb on the steel being as smooth as you would want. I enjoy being able to listen to and talk with him.
The whole band and the singers are great and a joy to listen to. Dr. Yates does a good job of preaching a simple but effective message. People from all over the world attend the service. You owe it to yourself to attend if you are ever in Nashville on Sunday Mornings.

Hi Walter, I haven't been to the Cowboy Church in years do you know who all plays in the band. I think Gary Brock plays bass and of course you mentioned Duane but do you happen to know any of the other members? The last time I went it was out by the airport in one of the Hotel bars I think it was the Holiday Inn. It was just geat then and I was really interested in going especially for the good christian country music but at the time my son was only 4 or 5 and my wife and I both thought he should be around other small christian kids Smile So we ended up finding a church here in Madison and it worked out fine for my son he's almost 20 now.

So I'm thinking about dropping in on the Cowboy church one Sunday morning and enjoy some good music along with Dr. Yates good preaching. I do listen to them on the radio when ever I can if they are on and I also try to listen to the CowBoy church down in Pigeon Forge with their good music and preaching. I didn't know that there was another one like ours here in town until I was up all night one Saturday night in Pain and I had WSM on and I think it was about 4:00 am they aired last weeks CowBoy church down in Pigeon Forge at least I think it's Pigeon Forge it's some where down by Dolly Wood I believe.

The Cowboy Church is located on Music Valley Drive in the Ernest Tubb Midnite Jamboree Auditorium. The Fiddlers Inn is right there in the same area. Music Valley Drive is past Opry Mills and The Grand Ole Opry going north on Briley Parkway.

Bob, I do not know the names of the singers. They have had guest singers every time we have been there. All the band and regular singers are the same ones who have been there for the past 4-5 years. I did notice that the bass player that had been playing was not there and the band leader/singer done the bass playing. The time before this one, Doug Jernigan was playing steel for them. They have a web site at www.nashvillecowboychurch.com. and one at www.nashvillecowboychurch.org.
