Can someone tell me who Pam Tillis' steel player was on the GOO last night? He was playing a GFI. ( I saw the show on CMT this morning actually...I assume it was current)I recognized Gaylon Matthews backing Gretchen Wilson and of course Tommy White, but the third steeler I couldn't place. Anyone?

I would like to know also.
I'm working a festival next weekend and have to provide the backline for Pam Tillis, and wanted to know who is on steel and if he had any preference in amps. The rider says a Peavey Nashville, does he want the 400 or 1000 with or without the Blackwidow speaker? I guess I'll just bring a Nashville 400 with the BW speaker.

I spoke to him last night and he told me his name is Mike. I believe his last name is Toppens. It was hard to hear what he said as we were standing beside the stage and someone was playing at the time. Anyway, he told me that he was with Pam once before and left to play with Bill Anderson then recently came back to Pam.

Gaylon, his name is definitely Mike Toppins. His GFI looked a little like mine, except his GFI was a rosewood and gold color and my steel is red and gold, and his GFI was an S-10 and mine is D-10. Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel, GFI Ultra D-10

Thanks Gaylon. BTW, real fine job with Gretchen on that Opry show! I was hoping you'd get a chance to really cut loose but it was great just to have a chance to see you perform.

Thanks Bill. The Opry is one of the highlights of having a job like mine.
