I just got Billy Cooper's new CD today. It is some of the best E9th playing I have ever heard, and I have heard them all. I can't say enough good things about this CD. It has been a long time since I heard a CD with such great E9th playing. If you have never heard Billy Cooper play, you don't know what you are missing. I listened to the CD about 10 times today. And I can't get that 10th song out of my head. Great! |

Billy had 3 CD's on his web site early this year and I got all three of them. Great playing with upfront steel and crystal clear drum tracks that did not override the steel. As I recall there was a gospel album , a country album and a duet album with Buddy Charleton. Someday I gotta get down to his store just to look around.

My CD just says "Billy Cooper Steel Guitar", and has a picture of Billy and his MCI guitar. I can tell you this much, I plan on buying everything Billy Cooper records. Billy has his own style, and it is a powerful style for those who love E9th. In my opinion Billy is on a level with all the great players. Yes, on a level with Dickey Overby and Jimmy Day. It is powerful stuff. |

Keith, I was at Billy Cooper's Music once and he played a song for us on that guitar; man I wanted him to keep going. He is fantastic! |
