Hi there-
That's a dynamite album with all the interaction with the crowd. Especially like Rose City Chimes. Did you fill-in for Sonny Curtis that night? What steel were you playing?
A huge fan always. Thanks very much.

Gary,
I worked for George for a short while, probably less than a year. I don’t remember the year of the recording but if it was 1962 or before, it would have been a Sho~Bud.

Forgive my ignorance. I've never heard of this album before, who is the featured artist? Buddy? or is it this George fella Mr. Emmons says he worked for? George Jones? George Bush? George of the Jungle? |

It's a George Jones live recording from -65 at Dancetown USA ( TX ). It was suppose to be an official release, but for some reason, most likely technical, it was never released at the time. ACE records in UK released the tapes on LP years ago and a cd was available for awhile too. Musically it's a great example of a George Jones gig on his heyday, I won't go into more details, since this has been discussed here before by more knowledgeable people. Just do a search here and you'll find more info about it. |
