I saw a thing called ask Buddy on the Buddy Emmons website and so I thought, as a steel player, I would start a new thread called ask Wayne. Alright. I'm ready..... Bring it on...

Autry, I would like to comment on the Mooney tuning, but what with the Michael Jackson trial and all, I probably shouldn't.

Actually, I like the concept.

OK, how about this:

If Michael Jackson were a steel player, what would he think of the Moon's tuning?

Wayne, what is your favorite steel guitar instrumental? What is your favorite pedal steel guitar instrument and why? Can you actually fly a jet airplane? Did you receive your SITs yet? Thank you for the Just Ask Wayne thread.

Dear Wayne - I am really disappointed in the poor performance of the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. Do you think Mooney is disappointed too?

Wayne, Now that we've all improved our sound so much thanks to the Black Box, Nashville 112, Steel-King and pod whatever. Will steel guitar move to the forefront again, as it was in the 40's and 50's western swing bands? Do you think it was our tone that held us back?? Did it stink that bad??

Is it wrong to play old Banjo break-downs on the C6th?? I worry about all the above.

Wayne:
If a steel guitar is traveling west at 70 mph, and a (nekkid) turtle is traveling east at 1/64th mph, then how high is up?
I'm so confused!
