Hi,

As announced in a previous topic (link here), I finally convinced the members of my blues-based band that we needed the pedal steel as part of our sound. Well, we've now had our first gigs to showcase the hypothesis for the general public. On the following web page you can see some snapshot from a gig we did a few weeks back. For those of you with a fast broadband connection, there are video clips ... as these are clips are quite large, there are also smaller audio-only clips.

Page with video and audio clips

Hope you like it!

Cool sounds, man - you tear it up. Nocaster sounds great too - long live the memory of Danny Cedrone.

DVA, I knew I saw that phrase somewhere. Nice anthology of non-country steelers.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the nice comments.

The singer, Petra, is a new young talent who has been in this band for about a year. She is a big fan of Eva Cassidy, so our repertoire has steered more towards a jazzier/countrier type of blues than we played before. And she absolutely adores Dale Watson's "One More, Once More" album, so imagine her surprise when I told her that my current guitar was the one used when recording that album ... and that my pedal steel mentor was the guy who sat behind it. Now if I could only convince the other guys in the band to play one or two of Dale's songs ...
