I recently attended the Ala Steel Guitar Assoc. gathering in Montgomery in Feb. I had the opportunity to speak with Herby Wallace as well as buy a couple of his CD's and a rhythm track to add to my Herby collection. One of the CD,s, Ivory & steel with Herby and Roy Rosetta, has Roy singing two songs. I have never heard Roy sing, and here he sings, "Since I fell for you and Everyday I have the blues". Both are done with a blusey feel and his vocals and Herby's playing are superb. Both Cd's are excellant but this one has 10 songs that hit my button, because of the vocals and song selection. It ranges from swing to country to jazz to standards. Now I am as country as a yard dog, but this kind of stuff does it for me. Great job to both of you. |

I agree, that's a great cd. Herby's playing is amazing to say the least, and Roy has a wonderful voice. I only buy instrumental cd's but if there was a vocal cd by Roy Rosetta I would buy it in a heart beat. Love his singing! Now when I see him at a steel show I'll be hoping he sings.
