Willie Nelson and Leon Russel did a version of that song on one of their albums, but I don't know if that's the one you're referring to. It's a great old Johnny Mercer song!

Donny-Thanks that is a great old song, but not the one.

Isn't it amazing, that I could download so many songs that guys send me, and I know most of who they are.

But for the life of me , I can't remember this one and it is so good. And Whoever the guy is, he plays with a lot of feeling and great tone and execution.

A well done record, good guitar solo in it too.

Well, if it is the song I'm thinking of it's called "One for my Baby" and it is an old standard. One of my favorite songs, and it was Johnny Carson's favorite songs. It was the song Bette Midler sang to him on his last show, which I still have on video tape.

A million and one people have recorded that song, but if you search on that title maybe you'll find it. If it is the one I mean, the lyric goes "It's Quarter to 3, there's no one in the place except you and me..."

Rick-I set an email to Graham and he didn't kow who it was.

That's the one!! But it is a Steel solo, with a guitar solo and a great backup. It is an MP3 I think, took long time to load but worth it, but the title on it is "Baby"....al

Hey Al,

If you've only made that one post about your Vega, how about telling these guys about your Vega?

I still want to know who made the record called "Baby" . it is and MP3. or known as (make it One for my baby and one more for the road). It ws an old Sinatra tune but this one is all pedal steel in C6. A very good rendition. Who is this steeler???

Even my wife Lorraine liked it and that is something. She used to like my guitar playing but never did Cotton to the Steel LOL.

I have it playing in Winamp.....al
