Hey Mike,

The guys aren't too kind, they're just honest. You have become one of my favorite players and your set is always one I look forward to. The few times we got to jam are right at the top of my most fun list. Let's do it again.

See ya soon,

Jim

Mike is also one of my favorite players and friends of the steel guitar community. I must say that every time I even passed the GFI room going to the restaurant or to the "powder room", Mike was always in there jamming. I use to do things like that at the old DJ conventions in Nashville many years ago when I was 16 or 17 years old, but there's no way I could start to do that now. You are amazing Mike!

Your buddy,
Herby Wallace

P.S. Of course, every time I heard Mike, he was playing his "you know what" off!

Yep, Mike was not only tearing it up in the GFI room, but also graciously taking time to talk to gawkers like myself... Not 5 minutes after he finished one of his Sat. demo sets, he invited me to sit down and play the GFI keyless he was using. Very cool.

Thanks, Mike -- and as I mentioned in Dallas, your praise for the GFI figured heavily into my purchase of a GFI (my first D10) 3 months ago.

Connie, Your bass chops were as solid as a rock behind Mikes' GFI. Hope you can come back to Texas next year. RG

David, Mike said it was a tribute to you, but I noticed he wouldn't lose the hair to make it a real tribute. Mike you've become a favorite player of mine, and the gift to my wife was great. And praise from Herby Wallace, you can't do better then that. Wow.

Ditto for me, Mike. You were running on some kind of adrenalin, that's for sure!
Your non stop hot-lick playing was inspirational.
Red Kilby and Mike Siler addded some nice vocals also and now I know the girl's name on bass...Connie...good job!

I just saw this post about Mike Sigler, and I certainly agree with all that has been said here. As may of you have discovered, to know Mike and to talk with him is indeed an honor and a pleasure. To hear him perform is a great pleasure that you just never forget about. He is indeed one of the great masters of the steel guitar, and can more than hold his own in any venue of players, and in most cases, far beyond some of the best of the best. And for those of you who haven't had the oportunity to hear Mike sing, ask him to sing a song or two for you sometime. Believe me guys... you are in for a real treat!

MIKE SIGLER: A prolific Artist, a dear friend to all, and a true Prince of a man.
