Hey everyone, Ole Keith has a new cd out !!!! Talk about 4/4 shuffles ,he's gotum on there. If you like Ray Price music you'll love this. This music is right down my alley. Already got mine. I got to learn all those songs so I can play with Keith in Siloam Springs in April, and I'm looking forward to it. Branson musicians made up the band on this cd and man did they play. You all need to get one or two of these. Keith did his self proud. Buck [This message was edited by Buck Grantham on 21 March 2006 at 09:51 PM.] |

I'll sneak up on him in Siloam and try to buy one Buck, but don't mention it to him !! If he knows I'm trying to get one, it'll take a year or more !! I finally had to choke him in front of folks at our Branson jam to finally get my pedal !!! ![](http://steelguitarforum.com/rolleyes.gif) |

Bill, someone told me the last tornado picked you up in the air, and they finally found you in a corn field in Ohio! I am really afraid for you to hear my new CD. I'm afraid because I know listening to the CD will curl your hair. Then once your hair is curled all the women of Pea Ridge will be giving you the eye. |

You boys settle down! Bill, all you have to do is ask nicely and be patient. Keith, you're gonna have to share your toys.
Now, with that said...I'll have to take sides here with Buck. I got my copy yesterday but didn't get a chance to listen to it until this morning. And I will admit that I listened to it twice on my way to work - yep really pushed the time clock this morning. All I kept thinking was, I wish I could hear more of this on the radio and at the clubs. It's the type of music that couples dance to, that you can sing along with, understand what the words are, and simply enjoy. But, I think I got a bad CD because each track had this tic tac sound....wonder what that was????
You did a great job on this CD Keith. As did all the musicians. Gary - great singing. The engineering was superb. Not one hint of Terry Bethel's whip. HA!

Lana,
The whip really wasn't that big, just a little ol' BLACK ONE about 5 feet long.
Ask Keith about his 6th string in Siloam Springs, he'll know what you are asking about.
Terry Bethel
Primed and ready for the the show in Siloam Springs. I am playing both days, the times are not set in concreat yet,

Now see ??? That's how gossip can get out of hand !!! First of all it wasn't a corn field, it was bean stubble and secondly, it was in northeast Indiana. Boy !! I don't want to fly that way again !!!
Don't worry about the women Keith, I'll just start carrying the same stick I have at night when using your pedal !! Hi Terry--Long time--see you in Siloam .

Chuck, have not had time to put anything on my web site about the CD, "Staring At The Moon." I think John Daughtery is putting some sound takes on his web site. John wrote one of the songs, "It's Been A Long Time Between The Roses." We just released the CD last week, so it will take a little time to get things rolling. If you want a copy now, send $12.95, plus $3.00 shipping to my address. I listened to the CD again lastnight driving to Springfield. I like it more everytime I hear it. When I listen to the CD I hear the years and years and years Gary Atkinson and I played in those night clubs. I really don't know how I took playing in all those clubs all those years. I guess when you love music, you will do almost anything to play--at least when you are young. |

Keith, I can put some short (30 second)mp3 samples on my site if you want me to. I have not done that because i didn't know if that was acceptable to you.
If you want me to do that, let me know and I'll try to do that tomorrow.

John, it is OK with me to put the sound clips on your web site. Gary and I both appreciate all the help you have been. We also appreciate you putting the sound clips on for us. John and I both played steel guitar for Gary Atkinson's band. All the songs on the CD come from real life experiences. John, maybe one of these days you can tell the people on the Forum where you came up with the song: "It's Been A Long Time Between the Roses." My wife's favorite songs are: "Teddy Bear, Between The Roses, and This Torch I Hold For You." My favorite is "Staring at the Moon."--I let Wade Landry and his fiddle go crazy on this song. Tomorrow I will create a new page on my website titled "Gary Atkinson/Keith Hilton CD".
It will have short samples of all 10 songs on the CD. If time permits, the page should be ready before noon friday, Mar 24.
