Anybody hear the new Gary Bennet disc. He was, along with Chuck Mead and Don Herron, one of the originals from BR-549. I read a review/article of his solo disc that said that Lloyd Green was featured on 5 cuts.
Also, Gray Bennett is playing in Cleveland tonight,(4/25/06). I was wondering who's in the band and if anybody has caught the performance in another town?

Al,

Yes, Lloyd is featured on 5 cuts of the album, the album itself features a variety of styles, from country to more rock-oriented music.

The CD is also listed on the website www.lloydgreentribute.com (in the "News" section), there are also two soundclips available (in the "Soundclips" section), the tracks being "That's What I'm Here For" and "What Turned Out To Be". Check them out!

Kind Regards, Walter

Hi Al!

We opened for Gary on Thursday nite in Ypsilanti, MI near Ann Arbor. Not a lot of folks were there, the punk band after us drove a few away.

Gary's band was excellent! Go see him, great tunes, great voice. Nice guy, his dayjob is at ET's Record Store.

cheers,
Drew

Hi Drew,
Thanks for the info. I'm thinking that he's not traveling with a steel player? And... is the band rocked out or more of a trad country thing, or, somewher in between, or,... I should just go and see for myself. It's kindof a longish drive up to the Beachland Ballroom and even longer gettin back.
