Hey everyone.
I would like to tell you all about a New CD from my friend Curt Shoemaker called "THE SHOE"
1st off it is a MUST HAVE!!!!
Curt has put together a great group of standard songs for this project, as well as 2 original songs he wrote.
I am very impressed with all the effort that Curt has put into this project.
These are the songs on "THE SHOE"
1. Steel Guitar Rag
2. Sweet Memories
3. Sleepwalk
4. Limestone {Original}
5. Look at Us
6. No one will ever know {Vocal by Les Gilliam}
7. Farewell Party
8. Mull of Kintyre
9. Summer Sunday {Original}
10. I love you because
11. Waltz across Texas {vocal by Les Gilliam}
12. Cold Cold Heart
My personal favorite is the original song "SUMMER SUNDAY" it has a great bluesy feel which I love.
Curt has told me that he will have the CD's ready for the Texas Steel Show.
I will have a booth down there inside the main room, and these CD's will be available there for sale, please stop by and get your copy. I promise this one is one you have to bring home with you from Texas.
Curt has also asked me to sing a few songs with him on his portion of the show in Texas, so if you all are early risers stop by the Main Room at 8am Saturday Morning March 11th, Curt is the 1st steel player to go on.
P.S. PLEASE BRING COFFEE!!!!!!!!!

Curt is one of the players I look forward to hearing and playing behind at our Tulsa convention. A very classy guy and nice taste. You bet I'll be there at the 8:00 AM show...toothpicks in eyelids, coffee in hand.
Just a shameless plug here for the Tulsa convention....Memorial Day weekend. It is always a great show and once again, Curtis Potter will be with us.
And, this Sunday, Feb 18, we'll have a jam at the American Legion on Admiral just east of Garnet....John Buffington, Marty Neer, Rick Crow, all the Tulsa boys PLUS the great Junior Knight as a special guest. Also guesting with us will be Miss Lana from SteelRadio.com. You really need to come out and support the OSGA.

"Choo Choo Kilby" sure has it right. I received my copy a couple days back and it's a powerhouse killer to say the least. Listen to Shoe's two originals and you can see where his heart lies. He's real country IMHO. Super CD.

I heard Curt and Les Gilliam at a couple of shows down in Oz last summer.They are an awesome Duo This is the kind of Real country music that just makes you feel good. Curt's version of farewell party is as good as it gets!
