My wonderful wife, Joan, now has a sit-down job in Terrell Tx. The place is called the Silver Saloon. The bands name is James Brandon and Custom Fitt. This is a seven piece band that plays mostly new country but they do throw in some traditional as well. The guys in the band just love Joan and her playing (wonder why?). The gig is every Friday and Saturday from 9:00 to 1:00. Joan is playing her MSA Millennium through a Stereo Steel and a Session 500. A digitech Qaud 4 and a Boss DD3 for effects in the S.S. And a Boss RV3 into the 500. If you get anywhere near Terrell stop in and catch the band.
If you can't tell by now, I am very proud of Joan.

I would be really nice to a lady that can lug around a Session 500. Or does she make you do that Johnny?

Hi Johnny,

The Silver Saloon is a nice place to play and I'm sure Joan will have fun on that huge stage.

I played with James Brandon and Custom Fitt for about 2 years and we wound up as the house band at that club.I had a great time with them but it was 103 miles one way for me so I quit so I could play closer to home.

Tell Joan to say high to James,Randy, Kevin and Keith for me if she thinks about it.

Thanks everyone. This is a great band to work with. Only problem is that I have to wear ear plugs..they're really loud, but the DJ that's there between sets is louder than we are. The club holds about 1500 people, and has a mechanical bull..it's like "Gilleys" I gues..One of those really big clubs. Johnny went along with me Saturday night and I have got plenty of power..the Stereo Steel with two speakers plus my old faithful Session 500 I got back in 1981. I "let" him set in Saturday night, and he said the sound quality was great. It does sound really good. The guys are really nice, and are all great musicians. Dick, I'll be sure and tell them you said "hey" when I see them this weekend. They let you play too, which is sometimes not the case with some bands these days. I think I've already spoiled them because I took some little sandwiches in two weeks ago and last week, I took Chili Cheese dip and chips for us to eat on the breaks..the drummer asked me "What are we having next week?" So I think I'm in trouble.. And thank you, Johnny for getting me set up with a cool rig.
Come see us if any of you are in the Terrell, TX area on Fri or Saturday night.

You gotta stop being den mother to the band, Joan.

Seriously, I wish I could check it out. Sound like you're having a good time. You've always been one of my favorite players.

Joan, I know you will have fun (just remember not to spend to many breaks talking to Kevin Bray)! Tell him I said hello.
