I'll just echo what Bob said. Buck is one of the best "unknowns" in the business. He's one of the newest members of the "Steel Chat Room". I told him that,as soon as he gets a mic. for his computer,he needs to do a "Q. & A." seminar. Until then, you'll just have to buy his OUTSTANDING CD,& listen to him pick that way.

I enjoy Buck's CD, "A Work In Progress" all the time; I think that he has one of the best "feels" for the psg in the business. If you haven't heard this CD, IMO, you're missing one of the best that's ever been put out. I hope that Buck gets another one out soon. He and Jimmy Crawford had everyone on their feet at a jam in Va a while back. As I remember they sold out of their CDs right after their set. Buck had one CD then, "Sweet Memories", I got the last copy. This song is on his present CD. |

I'll have to echo Smiley,Bob and all the others...I went over to hear Buck along with the C and C Band on Friday at Sputnics and was really entertained,I enjoyed it so much I went back on Saturday for most of the night.I got primed for this listening to the Boomer Castleman and Smoily Roberts Coctail Hours...this was a fun and music filled weekend for me.
Buck's new CD is certainly a pleasure to listen to,great pickin, great tone...I have not taken it out of my player since Friday. |

Bucks CD is one of the best I've ever heard.I've had mine for a while, but there is not a week goes by without Bucks CD being in my CD player. Not much left to say thats not already been said. Except if you don't have it GET it. You will be glad you did. |

I really enjoy his version of Scrapple from the Apple. I always dug that song and I REALLY dig his take on it. |

You guys in the US are the luckiest steel players on the planet. You get to see and hear all the top guys like Buck, Gary, Bobby Paul Ricky etc;Over on this side of the pond we get nothing, not even any radio play and absolutely zilch on the TV.All the videos and Cd's we have to get from your country there's nothing here at all. If I were twenty years younger I would be out there like a shot. We're starved of anything country let alone steel info. What wouldn't I give to go and see Buck Reid, this guy's CD is number one in my collection and will be I reckon for a long, long time.Cheers all. |

It's a rough situation, but someone has to do it.
