New member saying hello to everyone.
i have been a member for about 3 weeks.
I have been going over this forum for over a year. some very nice people on here.
i have learned a lot.
thanks for all you do to help other players.

I see, from your profile, that you are retired, and that you like the PSG.
Now,...around here we would like to know a little bit more. Like: What make of instrument do you play?..how long have you been doing this?....How many times have you stood in for Paul Franklin?....stuff like that!

| HI everyone,,thanks for the warm welcome,i will try to answer everyones questions..first of all im in a small town north east tenn,,mountain city.i play bass gutar,,lead electric guitar for some local groups for around 30 years..just mostly fri & sat night jam sessions..as far as PAUL FRANKLIN. i sure wish i was good enough to sit in with him..but im new to psg,,i have an old fender 400, 8 strings & 4 on the floor.tuned to e9th.hahaha. i know im way out of date. but i have had it sitting in a back room covered up for around 7 years.. after reading all the comments & replys that i have found on here i just wanted to give a go at trying to learn it.. im trying to learn to read tab, but not much luck with that since tab,is written for 10 strings & knee levers..so im going by trying to listen to other players & picking up licks from them...there are a couple of good psg, players here where i live and they have given me a few tips..i have never played in bars when i was playing lead guitar..played in church quite a bit..im a 50-60-70 country music lover. i have always loved the sound of the psg,,i was playing some of the licks on lead guiter..i hope i have covered every ones questions..if you have any more fell free to ask or sena an e-mail & i will reply..again thanks to all of you do for psg.& the forum,, |

James, why not post your copedent here too.
I bet you'll get some good advice if people know what the're talking bout.
Also what music interests you.
And Basil can play the heck outa his 400.
Seen it myself!  So no doubt he can be a big help. |

Hi to everyone..thanks for all the welcomes that you all have given me.
MIKE,,i have been through TEXAS a lot >.driving an 18 wheeler .never spent much time there.
BASILH,,i,am really happy to know you have a fender 400 to lol,i will probly wear you out with questions lol. i thought i had the only one hahaha.there are pretty rare i guess.
DAVID ,,my music interest are the 50-60-70 country ballads. JONES,HAG,BUCK OWENS,TAMMY,ETC, i also love the country style gospel..as for copendent.well im dumb as a rock lol .im not sure what that is..if you will let me know i will be greatfull..thanks.
i think i have covered everyones questions,, but if not let me know & we will go at it again..you steelers just keep up the great work & i will try to learn just a little of what you know a lot of..) |
