I just ran across a CD with this title. It was produced by Lloyd Maines. Is this a steel guitar CD?

Lee, don`t know the answer to your question but that Lloyd Maines what a player!!!
If I had produced it, it would have been called two and a half tons of rust!!!

I hope that someone out there can remember the correct title to a LP record that the late, great Jimmy Crawford put out many years ago with a similar title. Thank you.

Yes it has steel on it in spots. The Texas Steel Guitar Hall of Famer, Denny Mathis plays with them. Not sure if you are familiar with Denny, but that guy can do more with a non-pedal, than I can with a pedal steel. The guy is incredible.

The band kinda sounds like BR-549, early Elvis, Buddy Holly...stuff like that. They are extremely popular in the San Antonio/Austin area.

Yeah. That's the group. So, it's only 2 tons of steel, not 4 tons? I think I'll go back and buy the cd.
