This week Kay Das sent us two new recordings from his home studio in Singapore. Both of these songs were recorded on his new "Steelocaster" steel guitar which he brought to the HSGA Joliet convnention last month. Thanks Kay!

Hi Kay, so the Steelocaster was the secret project you were working on. Distinctly different than the WestCoast. With your magic touch both sound great. The Steelocaster notes sound clearer and higher. I love your music. Kris

Yes, the Steelcaster secret is out--we'd really like to see a picture here, unless it's still under wraps....

I love the tone, and I love these tunes.

Hi, back in Bangkok now, got a gig tonight.

Had a great stay with Kay and his family.
Really topshelf people.

It turns out Kay and I met in 1978 at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC...

I was down from Boston for the Audio Engineerring Society AES convention.
Kay was working the show for Neve the mixing console maker.

So over dinner we remembered where we looked familier from.
Small world!

It's so funny to meet up again through the forum,
and in deepest Asia too.
Go figure.
DD

Hey, Kay, you and David are neighbors now.

Funny, Donald-- Kay and I figured out we lived in New Jersey long about the same time; probably passed each other on the highway.
Small world indeed.
The internet helps.

just counted up that the picture we posted has 5 steel guitar necks, one rhythm guitar and a mandolin...might remind you of the 18 people in a VW beetle...
