I just saw a listing where they will be showing a collection of Rick Nelson shows on Sat, on PBS at 9:00. With luck, they might show some clips where Tom Brumley is a pickin and grinin with him. I'll be having my VCR timer set for that.

I remember an interview of Ricky, when he pointed to Tom Brumley, and said "He's my secret weapon".

I saw the Larry King show, and it was very interesting.

They mentioned that a new CD and DVD were released this past Tuesday of Ricky's hits and video songs from the Ozzie and Harriet shows, as well as some of his personal appearances. Worth checking out if you want to see Tom Brumley on steel.

Seems like Tom has been a lot of artists secret weapon over the years! Ricky knew he had a good one.

If that DVD is of the Ozzie & Harriet Show, that'll be with James Burton!!! That'll be very cool - they used to mime to the record for that segment, and JB would sometimes 'pose' with different guitars. I saw one where he had a Gretsch 6120, and another with a Fender Jazzmaster; the records were pretty much all done with the Tele, of course.

These were very early music-videos, in effect....

Anyone know if the PBS show is on in SW Florida?

A bit off topic but Linda Ronstadt introduced Waddy Wachell as her Secret Weapon at a show in Melbourne many years ago
