Has any steel player ever recorded "Christmas Time is Here"?
I love that tune. How many other melodies end on a 9th interval?
The Vince Guaraldi trio educated countless children's minds to appreciate jazz. The same with MR. Rodgers background music.

I almost did that one this year, Andy
Since I did a Guaraldi tune last year I thought I'd skip a year.

I love doing tunes I've never heard before on steel guitar.

I'll do it next year (if CRS doesn't kick in and I forget)

Merry Christmas

I was thinking about that, too, how Charlie Brown's Christmas has the wonderful jazz in it. However, I'm 45, have seen that at least 20 times, and this was the first time I really listened to and appreciated the jazz music. I've always loved the music, but it being jazz never really dawned on me. Oh, Lord, how much more revealing can I be about my thick noggin?

I havnt recorded it, but I've been playing it alot on gigs for the last couple years during the holidays. It lays great on basic C6! A world of knowledge inside the changes.
