Just checking to see if it's Russ playing with Barefoot Jerry in this movie/documentary. What great players! What a fabulous (very) '70s recording studio!

It's been reissued by the Charly-Snapper group, UK based.. so Euro-fans shouldn't have too much trouble locating a copy.

It was filmed in 1974, there's a couple of Monument artists, (Barefoot Jerry, Larry Jon Wilson whose album they were cutting came out in 1975), plus Steve Young, Guy Clark, John Hiatt, Steve Earle, Townes Van Zandt, Charlie Daniels Band, and a host of others.

There's a remastered soundtrack on it's way through another label entirely, and it's going to have everything.. or so I hear.

Lots of spontaneous rare and beautiful moments from some greats.

Hey Guys...thanks for the mention....the seventies were a fun time for me....I remember when the Heartworn Hiways crew came to Cinderella Studio to film Two Mile Pike for the movie; I was proud they had chosen my (and Buddy Skipper's) tune to be featured in the movie. I recut that tune a few CDs back, with the same title, but it just wasn't the same....obviously when a couple of guys in a home studio try to recreate what six smokers did at Cinderella Sound, the result leaves a lot to be desired, mainly Buddy Skipper's piano and Dave Doran's lead guitar....but, it's not bad; at least I got to mix the steel a little hotter.

Great movie! And cool to see Russ picking in a hat . I always loved 2 Mile Pike, and most things that came out of Cinderella ...

I ordered this after seeing the original post and I gotta say it is one of the more entertaining documentaries I have ever seen, if you are into the 70's underground country stuff this is a great piece of history. Worthwhile just to see Townes drunkenly showing off his girlfriend and animals!
