We've just learned that Bruce Bouton was the steel player on Garth Brooks' first single in 3 years. Congratulations, Bruce! We are most honored he chose to play his Carter on that single, as well.

Here's a description of the new single which was posted at this CMT.com link
Quote:
Disney-owned Lyric Street Records has been hired to promote "Good Ride Cowboy," Garth Brooks' newly recorded tribute to the late Chris LeDoux, that will be featured on his first CD released under an exclusive deal with Wal-Mart. Anderson Merchandisers, which hired Lyric Street, distributes CDs, DVDs and books to retail stores, including Wal-Mart. The Lyric Street promotion department already secures radio airplay for its roster of artists, including Rascal Flatts and Josh Gracin. "Good Ride Cowboy" will be distributed to country radio stations early Thursday (Oct. 6). Brooks' last single, "Why Ain't I Running," was released in 2003. Brooks and Capitol Records severed their relationship earlier this year.

I believe that's also Bruce playing his Carter on the Garth Brooks' Walmart jingle being aired these days.
