I picked up my first PSG on Saturday. I had never touched one before but I always had a longing to play such a beautiful sounding instrument. I took my first lesson also that day, and I've been practicing like crazy. I have already done a number of searches and was convinced that this forum was a must for me. I hope y'all will endulge another newbie and the inevitable questions that follow. Thanks for having me.

Thanks for the warm welcome from all of you. I've been playing (if you can call it that) steel guitar for 1 week now. I take my second lesson in a few hours. I've been practicing forward and reverse three finger rolls on the 4 string groups and working through major chord changes using the A+B pedals. I've had a little trouble getting the A pedal to fully depress (I've since adjusted the height) and I've managed to get some really raucus sounds from it. I'm going to ask my teacher to play something on it when I get there today just to be sure that there's still some good sounds left in it. I'm looking forward to having something new to practice. Sorry for being so long-winded. If there's any interest I'd be pleased to post a weekly update on my progress.
