Don't know that particular CD, but the great Herb Steiner has done a lot of work with James in recent years... If he didn't play on that CD, he probably knows whoever did. |

Kenny; that's my Best friend Gary Carpenter that played steel on the "Shadows Where the Magic Was" and then I played steel on the next CD from James Hand called "Evil Things".

I played on "Shadows Where The Magic Was" on the "Live At the Saxon Pub" album, which came out in 2004. I left James Hand's band, after two years, in December of 2004.
If James, on his yet-to-be-released album on Rounder, recorded still another version of "Shadows," it will have Lloyd Maines on that one.
