We are in Houston for a show tonight then we'll head to Austin to do Austin City Limits on Monday. That means we'll be in Austin with nothing to do Saturday and Sunday. Any steelers playing in Austin this weekend? Gotta find something to do besides sitting in a hotel room all weekend.

There's gotta be some good music and steel in Austin, music capitol of Texas this weekend!
Speaking of Texans and steelers, singer/songwriter Terri Hendrix is going to be accompanied by Lloyd Maines I think a week from today at a small venue out here in Sonoma County called Studio E.[This message was edited by Mark Eaton on 04 November 2005 at 10:06 AM.] |

On this link select "Concert Central" under "Menu" then in the middle left column (Red) click "Central Texas".
You'll have no problem finding stuff......

Well, it ain't Country, or even Country Gospel, but I will be attempting to play my new MSA Patriot in the Christian Life Church praise band Sunday morning. Two services, 8:45 and 11:00, 4700 Westgate, Austin, Texas.

Hello Gaylon - Well, on Saturday, Redd Volkaert plays from 3-6 in the afternoon at the Continental Club on South Congress. He often has ol' Ricky Davis with him, but sometimes fiddle Erik Hokkennen. Redd is starting to get the hang of the telecaster.
Alvin Crow and His Pleasant Valley Boys are at the Broken Spoke Saturday nite. The immortal Neil Flanz on steel. The Spoke is on South Lamar.
On Sunday afternoon there's Dale Watson (usually) at Ginny's Little Longhorn on Burnet Road. Don Pawlak on steel.
Wish the Cornell Hurd Band was playing in town this weekend. You'd dig Scott Walls' playing.
Hope you get jacked up while you're here.

Gaylon,
we will be at an old time Texas dance hall in Shelby, Tx. Saturday evening 8:30-12:30 It's called Harmonie Hall. It's a bit of a drive from Austin but not too bad. C'mon out and sit in.
