For all my buds - and of course other steel aficionados the world over - who I missed at Scotty's this year - sorry but work got in the way

Just a wee snippet of Pete Kleinow, a true American original

FBB @ the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA: 4/6/69

That 4-6-69 is an excellent show!!!! It's a FM radio broadcast~ I bought it as an import titled "Sin City" over 10 years ago~ Probably the best live document of the burrito's on top of their game w/ Gram.

Once again;
I think we should nominate Sneaky & the other "Hippie Steeler's" (Rusty Young, Buddy Cage & Jerry Garcia) to the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame. I am going to download the form & try to wade through it to give Sneaky the praise he is due. I wouldn't be playing today if not for those 4.

Awesome! If anybody deserves to be in the HOF, it's Sneaky.

A true original.

dang- but, the pc I use for my web reading/psoting has no audio card (thanx to my fine employers...) -and it also won;t allow me to view this particular video file without it, either (though often, it will...)
wish I could be there!

More vintage Sneaky can be heard on this one (released under two different names): http://members.chello.at/thomas.aubrunner/tokyo.htm

Check out White Line Fever for my personal fave' "clean tone" Sneaky pickin'.
