For years I've been mulling over getting a small tattoo in a non-visable area but couldn't decide on the picture. I decided on a lap guitar. Anyone ever see it as a tattoo? I'm not sure about the mechanics of it and I would guess the tatooist never did one.

Me too! I was thinking of getting "Sho-Bud" in a small area, although at times it would read "Sho-Bud - The Professional D10 8&5"

HowardR... You naughty boy. Maybe it should include the serial number too in case it ever gets stolen. LOL. At least you would know where to find it. |

Yes Howard, It's true !!! I have a new tattoo of my ZumSteel. Actually, I used the PSGA "decal" for the template. I had the front apron made up to look like "my Zum". The artist did a great job on it. It was something I'd wanted to do for a long time, but, kept putting it off. I guess it's a middle age thing !! My wife says- " It's cheaper than a Corvette". |

I'm thinking a steel guitar but was wondering how good the strings will come out. Maybe a guy sitting playing a lap or just Fender logo with stringmaster under it.
Where can I get some design ideas?

I personally don't want a TATTOO of any kind, I don't care what brand it is. I think tattoo's make a person look like they come from a lower class of society. Just my 2 cents worth. NR |

I don't have any tattoos, never had the desire, but after reading Nick's post, I think I might get one. |

Well Kevin Owens has the Sho-Bud logo on his forearm... I've been thinking about it lately and as much as I love Sho-Bud I think that if I was to do something it would probably be that picture of Speedy West playing his Marlen with a smoke in his right hand. |

Hmmmm!
I must admit that it's not the first time that I came across this viewpoint.
Personally I have Tattoo-art of very high quality amounting approximately 10.000 USD on my arms and back, this fact makin' the "lower class" notion sound uneducated and prejudice in my ears.
Anyone in here lower than me?

I would imagine that there are cultures and societys where tattoos were/are of a religious & spiritual nature. Possibly a hierarchy of symbols for the social strata of that particular culture.
Here, it's pop culture, and like Mike said, "Who cares?"
So, if I were going to get one, I'd get a dragon playinging a Stringmaster D8 on the back of my shoulder. |

Good one.
A good reason for putting it where it can't be seen? |

Just remember, it's easier to change brands of guitars than a tattoo. |

I believe the topic was "Anyone see a steel tattoo", not your opinion, there-of.
Remember... "Opinions are like ********, everybody has one". And some people are more retentive than others. |

By the way, anybody who'd like to see it, can stop by the PSGA booth in St. Louis. I'll be there Fri, Sat, Sun. |
