Here is a little of the Symphony Hall concert with myself(Cement Fingers) at the "Helm" of a 1970 PP. Playing a little Hawaiian mixed with a Country Lick or two!!
So how would you describe the "Style"
Ignore the technical side of the playing.. I was three quarters asleep and only half awake !!

I really liked the way the band laid back and gave you a nice subdued background. It's great to hear a band every once in awhile where everyone's not competing to get heard! |

Well, I think the perfect name for your style would be "basiled up"...get it? Basil is a spice (as well as your name), and so maybe a play on words,as in "all spiced up". Your music has a little bit of country, a little bit of polka, a good dose of swing, and of course Hawaiian. I like it because it kinda makes it's own statement....it doesn't just follow what everyone else is doing! Keep it up, great stuff!
I agree that the band is to be congratulated as well. They did a great job of letting you shine, and many aren't good at allowing you to do that without making the "lay off" so big of a deal that it actually ends up detracting from your performance. So I think the balance with all of you was well struck.
This was a great listen, thanks for sharing with us again!
