I did a comprehensive search in tablature ( I put the letter a in the search text box.) I found a beginning thread dated 17 Feb 1999 about lick 2 of 100. Are these tabbed licks for sale anywhere? I can only read on the computer at work and I can't write, print, or play sound files. I could probably write down the licks as I read them.
Thanks;

Hey Sherman; not quite sure what your talking about from that long ago, but I did put together a video with Tab of 35 licks/turnarounds/solos a year later. But I've lost that video since and I've put it on my website for free right here> http://www.mightyfinemusic.com/TheVideo.asp
I still have the tab in a zip file of word documents that I can email to you or friend; for you to print out.
That's all I have to offer or for sale. If your wanting 100 licks; you'll just have to continue to do a search in the tab section; and I'm sure you'll come up with 100 of them or more...ha.

Hey Ricky,
I was just watching that video this morning and wondered if the tab was available.
I'd like to have it if you're mailing it out.
Thanks
Jay

If anyone would like the zip file of the tab for that video> you have to email me at sshawaiian@austin.rr.com and I do take paypal donations at the same email address> Enjoy.
I really only check the forum once a day if possible...but I do have my email with me always; as I'm in and out and on the golf course or at a gig or here working on a steel.

This is great stuff! It is helpful to see your right-hand position and bar-vibrato.
Of the 35 riffs, my favorite so far is the "old-time ending in D". (the others may take a while) I like to add-in the 9th string for the end, it sounds sort of like the enormous chord from the end of Winnie Winston's (first) arrangement of Danny Boy. |

Thanks Ricky...received my zip file with the tab today. You must have some "mighty fine" karma because you are such a kind fellow and you really care about your fellow steelers. Thanks again my friend. |

Hey Thanks Johnny and thanks to everyone with the nice words. This is a 4 or so year old project I did; and I guess it became alive again. I already sold all the videos and tab booklets for it that I wanted to; as why I put it online for free and offering up the emailed tab, for those that missed out. Glad ya'll are getting something out of it and sorry that there won't be anymore projects from me in the future; but I'll certaily be glad to give GOLF tips online..ha...

Thank you for your replies, Ricky.
Now, if I continually slice the ball should I always tee to the left of the hole?

Ugh, I'm absolutely horrible at mini-golf, I can't even imagine getting out on a real course. I imagine I'd shot an 89....... then move on to the second hole. |

how do i get this steel licks video and tab?
also, any opinions on a good, easy to follow source of common PSG chord transitions, way up/downs and turn arounds?
not so where the single notes but chord movements.
also, is there good source that simply explains the (fret patterns) positions, i.e. start at root, skip 2 frets, go to 4th chord under position 2, etc. in a pictural type layout? make any sense as i am not sure working from memory while at computer.
thanks,
Billy
