Had the pleasure of playing a show with Gary Morse of the Dierks Bentley band (also formerly with Highway 101 and Dwight Yoakam). Gary is an incredible player and really tears it up with
high speed chicken pick'n. I especially liked one of the Waylon tunes they did. If you get a chance to see Gary you'll see an intense seasoned professional master player at work. He's top shelf and has class to boot.

I did a similar gig as an opening/closing act.

You forgot to mention the Beautiful old '69 rack and barrel Sho~Bud.

That's where I got the idea for my Podxt. Two Nashville400s, and a GREAT soundman set it all off.

Loved those Waylon covers too.

I just got the new Dierks Bentley c.d. for fathers day. There is alot of steel work on this record. I can't believe nashville let it escape from the shelf to the buying public. A good friend of mine says he just can't get into D.B....says he is "just too hillbilly" and not like Rascall Flatts.

Gary Morse did one heck of a job playing with Dierks Bentley at the CMA festival..as far as good music, good interaction, etc. Dierks show was only equalled by Alan Jackson...

I've heard that Dierks is a huge fan of steel guitar and when Gary's playing a solo, Dierks will go to where the steel is and watch Gary play. Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel, GFI Ultra D-10

I just got the new album yesterday, am 5 tunes into it and loving it. Notice in the liner notes it says not 'steel' or 'pedal steel', but "Gary Morse - Sho-Bud Pedal Steel"

A few years back Radney Foster put out an album that cedited the steel player as:

Steve Fishell: Zum Steel Guitar and Fender Pedal Steel Guitar..

Very cool when they list the brand like that..
