| Dave Easley will be performing at Windows on the Cumberland in Nashville Tennessee on Tuesday June 7th. I don't know the name of the band or the time that they are scheduled to play, but if I find out I will post it later on. Dave is an incredible steel player and also a great guy. I am not sure what kind of band he is playing with on this date, but Dave is well known in New Orleans for playing Jazz with a band called 3NOW4, and his own band called Heartifacts. | Dave Easley is one player everybody needs to see and listen to. Watched him at one of the steel shows in Gulfport, Ms. a few months ago. Truely amazing. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and was sitting right there in front of him watching. Truely amazing. A fine player! |

I've had the pleasure of hearing Dave play a number of times......the man is an incredible steel guitarist.......great style. You won't want to miss his performance.........

I went... It was great! I had to leave on the early side and didn't get a chance to talk to Dave but he lived up to his reputation as a great player with a different approach to the instrument (actually several different approaches...). All I knew of him was one of the "Brian Blade" CDs and the many posts here about "adventurous steel players". It was just a trio; steel, bass and drums and 80% instrumental (Dave sang a few songs...). There were several straight ahead jazz things (Dave did great synth/organ stuff on "Mercy Mercy Mercy") and there were several songs it'd be hard to categorize...
So Dave, if you read this: I really enjoyed your playing and hope to get a chance to talk sometime! |
