I did a limited search this morning and didn't find what I needed to know so I'm posting the question. I thought someone had posted awhile back about some electronic device (not a profex) that made lap steel sound just like a resonator. Seems like Bobbe Seymore had something like that in his shop. Also searched his web page and didn't find it. Any ideas? Thanks

Bobbe does have them. Just give him or Danny a call. I still want to try one myself.

You can hear Jim Cohen using a Goodrich "Match-Bro"
on his "Beats Walkin" Cd Track 7 "Old Fashioned Love" |

i can get an approximation using a flanger, sometimes on electric lap steel and sometimes on acoustic-electric steel... not perfect....nothing beats the real thing....some examples maybe on my hsga website postings...if you wish to hear more, let me know...

Like a few of you here-I also hang out on the Jerry Douglas bulletin board.
I would be willing to bet there has never been one thread started over there regarding dobro simulators.
On the Forum, there have been a number of threads about this from the pedal folks, and now the non-pedalers are talking about simulators.
I think I better go play my Clinesmith for a bit to get a taste of the real thing!
