Whomever played the steel intro to "Consider The Lilies",congratulations. You are breaking my fingers. That intro to that song has to be played as close to exact as possible for it to come off right. You probably thought that up in about ten seconds too,huh ? Great steel playing on a great song.

Dustin, I believe it was Weldon Myrick who did alot of the studio sessions for the Hemphills,and a fellow by the name of Jerry Mcguire did the live album they did back in the earlier 70's.

Jerry Mcguire was the person who recomended me to the Goodman's. Jerry was a good friend who has since passed on. At that time Jerry was playing bass guitar with the Dixie Echos and to the best of my memory that's all Jerry ever played. Dave Robbins was playing steel with the Hemphills during the 70's while I was with the Goodman's. I'll bet it was Dave who played on the live album.

Dave played a red Sho~Bud. I have that live album.I thought his name was Jerry Mcquire.Who is he playing with now?
