Did anyone else notice on CMT's "Inside Fame" with Charley Pride when the run the credits at the end of the show was a great shot of Lloyd Green? Charley was singing Lovesick Blues. I wonder where the Clip was taken from. Also some great shots of Gene O'Neal during the Show. |

Yeah, I saw it, too. Awesome! Didn't you think it was cool that they had Lloyd up front beside Charley in the spotlight! Love it! Just love it! |

He also said Gene's name prior to the instrumental break, same as he did Lloyd's at Panther Hall. That is a great video; easy to understand why Charlie is such a success and so likable. |

With Buddy Merrill and Neil LaVang in the background I will take a guess and say the Welk show. He was a guest on there when he first started. |

Bill, Craig is correct (good eyes, seeing Buddy M.!)
It is from the Lawrence Welk ABC TV Show, April 1967.
It was Charley's first network TV appearance.
Lloyd's log book shows he cancelled 3 days of sessions to make the show in L.A.
The one with Gene O'Neal was the same show one year later, in 1968.

Charley and Lloyd actually did two songs on that show: "Just Between You And Me" and "Lovesick Blues" - what a great treat to hear Charley sing and Lloyd play!
Kind Regards, Walter
