I got there about 8:30 after driving 2 hours in torrential rain.. and it was very fine!
The venue is a remarkably restored turn of the last century Vaudeville house, and a truly appropriate room for the music.

Lorene Rumeyer and her husband were finishing their set as I arrived.

Then an older gentleman who's name escapes me (I'll dig out the program later and edit it in) played a nice set of strictly to the melody acoustic old time steel

Dave Giegerich played a short yet sweet set on both Reso and electric steels, going from Hawaiian to country to western swing and back to Hawaiian... I think Mike Neer played guitar with Dave- my eyes had a hard time focusing , the stage was a three tier structure and the acts were on the rear tier.

The Moonlighters played a very nice set and although Mike complained the monitors were less than satisfactory, you could not tell it from their performance.

more to come...
