I got an email yesterday from a lady whose 25 year old son is interested in buying and learning to play pedal steel. Please let me know if you might be interested in taking on a new student and helping him get a guitar to get started on.

I used to live in Selma, Tx years ago. There was a music store called Packs Music. Don Packs was to owner and one heck of a steel player. He helped me get started out back in the early 80's. The last I saw him was around the late 90's. Check the phone book. If he's still there you won't do any better.
Good Luck.

Whip is correct. Actually, Don's store is called Dell View Music Center. They usually have a few steels in their show room and some are there on consignment. Don and his wife Gayle are really fine folks.

I believe that the great Denny Mathis teaches at Del View Music; you couldn't do better than Denny.
