Just finished watching R F D farm channel.old tractors, some of those guys have 40 to 100 tractors, say they have tractor fever.big barns full of nice tractors.I had to think, why not steels? probaly be cheaper than tractors.
How many of us have steel guitar fever??

I record all the vintage train and tractor shows on RFD for a luthier/store owner buddy of mine in Oklahoma City--Ron Lira/Honest Ron's Guitars (and he is). He's not in the PSG trade (store's small) but he does make a very cute lap steel inspired by the lines of an old Gibson Ultratone and with Corian nut, saddle and fretboard.
To return to the point: in copying all those shows from TiVo to VHS or DVD, I've had the same thought. I'm more non-pedal than pedal, but I think it's a great idea and I too have steel guitar fever. And I'm not actively seeking a cure.[This message was edited by Ben Elder on 21 April 2005 at 07:08 PM.] |

Larry, old days tractors were work, old john deer R no power steering nothing, hit a stump, break or bruise the fingers and hands bad.
now they got aircond.cabs, radios, steros, all the luxuries of a nice pickup truck.
Now,way to play along,I got me a LDG sho-bud matches the john deere green just fine.
I love to hear those old poppers, farris |
