Dear Friends,

I have added six new soundclips to the website www.lloydgreentribute.com

Check out Lloyd playing western swing on the E-9th ("My Window Faces The South" with Del Reeves), doing one of these "wild" licks on "Lover Lou" (also Del Reeves) and hear him play beautiful and tasty stuff with Don Williams (three clips). To round things out, there is a clip by a singer named Dugg Collins, recorded for Little Darlin' in 1969.

Also, check the news section, the new Robbie Fulks album "Georgia Hard" will be released by mid-May, with Lloyd taking a major role on the CD. For more information and preorders, you can also go to www.robbiefulks.com

Kind Regards, Walter

Walter,
You are to be commended, my friend! Where do you find these clips of music? I've had great admiration for Lloyd Green since I was a kid. But I must tell you, the devotion you show for him as the genius of the steel guitar, just can't compare.
I appreciate you spending so much time and effort on a site that is so thorough and detailed with information on the greatest steel guitar master of our time!

Walter:

What is the name of that blistering instrumental when you click into the photo page?

It knocks my socks off!

Yes, it's "Three Picks" which originally appeared on the Chart album "Moody River" from 1969. The version you were asking about is a live version from 2003, played at the St. Louis Convention. Absolutely fantastic!

Kind Regards, Walter
