Announcing the new Hawaiian Steel Guitar Association Website!
We are rolling out our newly redesigned website just in time for this year’s HSGA Joliet Illinois Convention (October 13-15, 2005).
Talented web designer/graphic artist Amy Pace did the redesign and we are very pleased with her work. She created a website that is aesthetically pleasing with an easy to use intuitive interface.
Please stop by for a visit and look around. You will find many of your old favorite pages like the HSGA member’s audio page, the photo galleries of conventions and the “Who’s Playing Where?” listings all redesigned with new graphics and easy to use navigation.
New pages include photo galleries from the 2003 and 2005 HSGA Honolulu conventions, a history of the Hawaiian Steel Guitar, a page with pictures of notable Hawaiian steelers of the past, a learning section with archived articles, a page of tunings, suggested string gauges and more!
Also new are two pages with an easy to use on-line form that seamlessly routes your message to the HSGA main office, the board of directors and officers, the quarterly newsletter editor, the webmaster and an additional form to submit news items.
We are also rolling out our new email address: hsga@hsga.org
Go take a look (click here). Let us know what you think.

Shiney dude! Looks great.
I think we all need to take some 'heads up' pictures this year , Bruce is the only one looking at the camera. That's the curse of the steel player, you always are lookning down and miss out...
Great web site.

Lovely website....about those last minute reminders though....

Breakfast is no longer included with the room |
Boy, when they first said that there wouldn't be as many choices on the breakfast menu, they weren't kidding......mainly breakfast!

Oh really,....they don't want Duke Ching on a T8 Stringmaster set up next to their dinner table? No taste whatsoever!

Instead we will jam in the Heritage Room, which is off of the corridor that leads to the outdoor pool area. |
Uh oh......hey Rick, do them Dustpans float?

Some people who have registered for the conference have not reserved a room at the hotel. If you have forgotten to make your hotel reservation, please do so NOW |
That's gotta be Harry D. Hey Harry, where're ya' sleepin', Al's? |

Can visitors bring their smallest family members into the performance area? Case in point == 10 lbs........ In Hawaaian 'Chee Hua Hua' dog. We do have a shoulder carrying
basket or whatever you call it? She's had her shots, rabis, etc., and is very good natured, loves people. |

Ray, I can't answer you about the performance area, but I would suggest not bringing her to Al's Steak House... |

Could this be because most steel players are shy and don't like special attention?
