Last year I bought a used Sho-Bud ProIII Custom from Danny Hullihan and I really like the way it plays and sounds. The Hullihans are a real pleasure to deal with and Danny is a true gentleman; thank you, guys!

I somehow changed my playing style from a hard touch to a softer touch because of this guitar. I tried to record a version of "My Elusive Dreams" which I think is a little more gentle then Lloyds version done in the sixties.
The backtrack was done with Band-in-a-Box and then imported into Sonar. The guitar was plugged into a PodXT and recorded straight into the computer.
I posted the TAB here for those who want it.http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum8/HTML/002306.html

Thanks Ron,
I am working on a couple of other tunes, but it will take some time.
If you like what is coming from the other side of the world (South Africa), I suggest you look at Nic du Toits CD. (I somehow think you have done that already )

I am also trying to play some South African tunes, but I find it very difficult because this music is vastly different from American music. Oh, well...

Sounds JUST like a Sho~bud to me pal...good going. The sound of a Sho~bud is un-deniable and makes the listener sit just a little bit closer.

Hey Pete, sounds great. Being more of a owner than a player, I'm jealous. If you can email tabs, count me in please.
Thanks,
