Hi group:
This evening I got a telephone call from a steel guitarist and when I advised my wife who I just got done talking to on the phone, she said, "he looks more like an accountant than a steel guitarist."
Hey...I'm an accountant and I do both; so I'm wondering if there are any other accountants out there that also play the steel guitar.
I look forward to your comments.....really, I do! :-)

Yep
I'm an accountant - specialising in bankruptcy, which is how we do it in the UK!
Seriously, I find that the thought patterns that you need for accountancy are idealy suited to steel guitar which after all, is a thinking mans instrument. |

If it's a thinking man's instrument then it's no wonder I'm so mediocre!! |

The late steel guitar genius Vance Terry was an accountant who was extremely successful at one point. That he died destitute and alone is both terribly sad and the basis for several serious cautionary tales. |

I have a BBA in Accounting and practiced accounting for 10 years, before getting into Trust Banking. I am now a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor and a Certified Retirement Counselor.
Are everybody's wills current?

Yeah I have a Bsc. in Accountancy and Economics. I worked in Price Waterhouse in Belfast for a year before I moved on.The first audit I was on was in Peter Pan bakery on the Springfield Rd. This guy said to me when I arrived , not to park in that place as Mr Eaton was shot dead there last month. You could see the bloodstain on the cement . Belfast wasn't much fun in 1976. www.ricknelson.worksites.com |
