Jerry was taken to the hospital Fri. by his wife and brother, and will probably spend at least his birthday there this Wed.

Positives his way are deffinitly in order.

Dear Mr. Byrd,
You dropped a pebble into "Drowsy Waters", and the ripples you created, effected and influenced every steel player who was to come. Your impact on the steel guitar world continues to this day, through the many lives you and your music have touched throughout the years. I hope that you can somehow feel the ripples of love, respect, and admiration we are all sending back to you, and that they will give you courage and strength for the fight.

One thing about Jerry Byrd, is that he's a humble man. When I met him at Scotty's convention in 1975, the man in front of me addressed him as Mr. Byrd. Jerry responded by saying, "My name is Jerry, Mr. Byrd is my father."

PRAYERS....by all means.

What about those extremely important get well cards and birthday cards at this time?

Jerry needs to know that he is loved and remembered. Don't wait too long to get yours in the mail.

I sent a card from Chaing Mai.
But it took me several days to actualy FIND the post office....
